113 NATURAL POLLINATORS IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THE FRUIT FARMERSHageland+
This project aims at knowledge exchange, training and supportive measures in order to improve the functional biodiversity in the orchards of the Hageland. This project consists of different parts:
Part 1 foresees field measures supporting the pollinators which are by nature present in the orchards:
- installing bee hotels in orchards.
- developing or having regenerated spicy edges in parcels.
- stimulating the development and correct management of mixed hedges
Part 2 of this project intends to sensitize, advise and support the fruit farmers, a.o. by organizing a study day and information sessions together with the ‘Vakgroep Fruit Hageland’.
Part 3 of this project foresees monitoring and research in order to support the field measures.
