23 HEDGES IN ZOUTLEEUWZoutleeuw
Revaluation of the hedges: these small landscape elements are very typical and determine the image of Zoutleeuw’s landscape heritage. Within this project, the management (trimming and repair in case of loss) of the existing hedges of private individuals (owners / tenants) was linked to the further expansion of the hedges and to some revaluating actions (social basis among the population and attraction for tourists) for Zoutleeuw. According to the inventory of Zoutleeuw, it would certainly concern 23 km (!) of existing hedges.
