40 RENOVATION OF THE PARISH CENTRE 'TREFPUNT ASSENT'Diest
The "Trefpunt Assent" parish centre is located in the village centre and is intensively being relied on by hikers, cycle tourists, several associations and the primary school, amongst others. The interior of the parish centre needs to be renovated, so that damage can be prevented in this building. This project’s objective is to make the parish hall cosy and secure, in order to maintain its current occupation. The renovation of the inclined plane is needed to fight erosion and guarantee sustainability. This inclined plane makes our hall very accessible to wheelchair users and disabled persons.
The rich associative life of Assent needs a well-maintained hall. This is why painting and plastering works were carried out, swinging doors were installed and the outside window of the attic was replaced. The inclined plane and the emergency exit are still being treated. In our new hall, we also want to renew the speakers and the amplifier.
