There is a residential zone in Kortenaken called Kleinveld (situated in the submunicipality of Kortenaken). Around 20 years ago, young families came to live here, for whom play facilities were provided in the local area. However, small children grow up and the play facilities have fallen into disuse. The Kleinveld district is a peaceful neighbourhood that is pleasant to live in. In order to smarten up the district again and give it some dynamism, it has been decided to install benches for older people (adapted to their age). The district is close to a private rest home. The home’s residents should also be able to use the benches (and the opportunity for socialising).
