76 DIFFERENTLY MOBILE ON THE COUNTRYSIDEHageland+
Non-profit organisation Leuven-Hageland Mobiel provides transport for people who are physically challenged in Leuven and its surroundings. The organisation wants to expand its activities to a broader region, and more particularly to the rural areas in the Hageland. Following steps will be undertaken in the project:
- Define the needs and possibilities concerning transport for less mobile people in rural areas;
- Launch structural cooperation with cities, communities, interest groups, institutions, sponsors,... in order to make the transport of physically challenged people more efficient in a broader region and to contribute to guaranteeing transport, which was an explicit goal in the Flemish government statement;
- Advertise the services of the organisation to the target audience;
- Report the research results and the during the launching of the structural cooperation to all interested parties ( other special transport services for people with disabilities in Flanders, health services, subsidisers, interest groups,...) by organising a study day.
