17 GREATER MOBILITY FOR AN IMPROVED RURAL QUALITY OF LIFE: M & MKortenaken
A transport coordinator supports people looking for means of transport and who use the CADO Day Care Centres in Kortenaken, Linter and Bekkevoort, as well as the guests of the care farms. For users for whom the existing transport facilities offer no solution, a bus and driver are made available; volunteers are also appointed to do shopping by bike (from local farming companies for instance) for people with mobility problems in the chosen municipalities. Old people receive visits, short purchasing chains are encouraged and KVLV volunteers mobilised. The transport coordinator ensures the efficient running of this project.
