23 INCREASING THE OPPORTUNITIES TO MEET AND ACCESSIBILITY OF THE BUNSBEEK YOUTH CENTRE

Glabbeek

The De Kloemp Youth Centre is centrally located in the district council of Bunsbeek. Although it is initially an institute for young people, it has succeeded in attracting residents of different age groups via its varied activities: the annual fairground weekend with shows and entertainment, flea markets, go-kart races, stand-up comedians, Christmas markets, etc. De Kloemp has been adopted by the village community as a place where both young and old can meet up. For some of the activities cooperative ventures have been set up with out-of-school child care in the same building. The project aims to increase the accessibility and safety and to create addition room and thus improve services that will meet current needs and regulations.
