The objective of the 'Nationale Confederatie van Politieke Gevangenen en Rechthebbenden' (NCPGR) (the National Federation of Political Prisoners and Entitled Parties) Meensel-Kiezegem ’44 is to commemorate the victims of the tragic August days in 1944.
To this end, a huge Commemoration Week was held between 7 and 13 August 2016. This included a permanent exhibition including pieces from different exhibitions from Europe as well as evening activities every day. Never before it was possible to see so many interesting exhibitions from Europe at the same time.
