64 SUSTAINABLE RENOVATION OF ASSOCIATION PREMISES IN THE OLD BOY'S SCHOOL MOLENBEEK

The premises of the Old Boys' School Molenbeek are  used by KLJ Molenbeek-Wersbeek, the 'De Eendracht' brass band, ‘The Mutes’ youth band, the Rotzak' rock band and as a storage place for the Bekkevoorts Volkstoneel theatre group.

The premises were no longer suitable for the activities of the associations. The classrooms fall below acceptable standards in terms of energy and safety. Given the age and intensive use of these premises they required renovation works.

An energy-saving renovation of the building has provided users with safer premises that are adapted to their needs. The field behind and adjacent to the building has be landscaped and used as a green space/playground, surrounded by typical local landscape features.
