70 CUSTOMISED WORK PROJECT FOR PEOPLE WITH OCCUPATIONAL DISABILITY IN THE CENTRE FOR THERAPEUTIC HORSERIDING

Landen

People with occupational disabilities can play a supporting role in the daily operation of the “Centrum Therapeutisch Paardrijden” (Center for Therapeutic Horse Riding) in Landen. These people are often lacking spatial insight and structure or have difficulties with heavy work pressure. The centre offers structured tasks including a “horse manure composting” project and slower activities such as the “apple cider vinegar for the horses” project. Thanks to visual and material adjustments, this project provides an adapted workplace for people with occupational disabilities. It enables them to carry out a meaningful daytime activity with relative independence.
