The premises of the Old Boys' School Molenbeek are currently used by KLJ Molenbeek-Wersbeek, the 'De Eendracht' brass band, ‘The Mutes’ youth band, the Rotzak' rock band and as a storage place for the Bekkevoorts Volkstoneel' theatre group.
The current premises are no longer suitable for the activities of the associations. The classrooms fall below acceptable standards in terms of energy and safety. Given the age and intensive use of these premises they now require renovation works.
An energy-saving renovation of the building will provide users with safer accommodation that is adapted to their needs. The field behind and adjacent to the building will be landscaped and used as a green space/playground, surrounded by typical local landscape features.
This project was already approved in a previous appeal for funds and will receive extra resources for this from this call for funding.
