99 FROM 'AMIGO' SHED TO MEETING SPACE FRIENDSHIP HALL
Lubbeek
A thorough renovation of the existing dilapidated shed into a community space or friendship hall in the garden will create more connectedness in this meeting space. This will give individual or organised neighbours the opportunity to gather here, celebrate, read a book, play with the children, meet each other and so on. In addition, local residents can use and enjoy the redesigned community garden where efforts are being made for greening.
Furthermore, the friendship hall will be made with sustainable (mainly wooden) materials and is intended for the long term.
The renovation of the old shed into a friendship hall is part of the larger project to develop the entire site of the church of Saint Bernard, the parish centre and the community garden into a central meeting place for the growing parish of Saint Bernard Lubbeek (2.500 to 3.000 inhabitants).
