16 CHIRO BETEKOM BUILDING TOGETHER FOR THE COMMUNITY

Begijnendijk

This project focuses on the construction of a new meeting space for Chiro Betekom and other local associations, replacing the outdated and unsafe current infrastructure. The new facility, obtained on long lease from the municipality of Begijnendijk, provides safe and sustainable facilities, including a multi-purpose building available for meetings, events and as a summer camp location.
The design emphasises sustainability, with techniques such as rainwater recovery and heat pumps, and is prepared for future additions such as solar panels. Construction will take place in two phases: structural work, to be completed in March 2024, and finishing, scheduled for September 2024. LEADER provides grants for the finishing works.
