The Chiro hall in Scherpenheuvel is frequently used by various youth groups. The location of the premises in a protected park area next to the centre of Scherpenheuvel is ideal for organising sports and games activities for youth movements. The park connects to the walking network with junctions in the Merode area.
Unfortunately, the kitchen in the hall is in need of replacement. By installing a sturdy stainless steel kitchen, the building can be used even better to accommodate youth movement groups. The premises are also used weekly by Arktos VZW for the care of vulnerable young people. This organisation also uses the (kitchen) infrastructure to teach independence (cooking lessons, etc.).
