The Kweikersparade 2026 is a large-scale participatory street theatre project that takes place every five years as part of the annual Kweikersdag in Tienen. In the run-up to this parade, local groups, neighbourhoods, associations and schools work together on thematic scenes that depict their story and identity. These projects are supported by a director, a shared creative space and a clear participation framework. The project encourages encounters, imagination and cooperation across social and cultural boundaries.
