32 WELLNESS CENTRE: 'HET BALANSKE' Tielt-Winge
‘Het Balanske’ is a recreation and care centre for the disabled. This centre intends to organize recreational activities for individuals with (serious) disabilities and to take care of them. It helps disabled children, teenagers and adults.
This project intends to establish and run (trial period) a wellness centre for the disabled and their family. ‘Het Balanske’ wants to give the disabled access to the benefits of hydrotherapy and infrared radiation, in a simple and safe way.
This project has been launched due to the lack of recreational facilities for this target group in the Hageland. Co-financing has been requested for the infrastructural works for the installation of a wellness area adapted to the disabled. This wellness area includes a whirlpool for six persons and an infrared device. Together with their family, the disabled can use this wellness area, but they have to make an appointment first.
The final phase includes a trial period for the management of the wellness area and the announcement of the project among the residents of the Hageland.
