There are a great number of wine producers In the Hageland. In 2016, they didn't have the resources needed to measure quality during the wine-making process. The aim of this project was to enhance the quality of Hageland wine and to improve the local identity of Hageland as a wine-growing region. This has been achieved by setting up a cooperative wine laboratory that all Hageland wine producers can use to analyse samples throughout the whole process from harvest to bottling. Wine producers are thus able to decide on the ideal time for harvesting and to monitor the wine making process closely. This knowledge has helped wine producers come up with better products.
